The Department’s specialists provide a wide range of Urological procedures for both benign and malignant conditions. The Department is equipped with the Rezum System (water vapour therapy), laser Boston Scientific Auriga (is used for treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia and for lithotripsy), urodynamic control laboratory and flexible cystoscope.
• Bladder Procedures bladder stones, tumours investigation with a CT scan and an inspection of the bladder via the water pipe
• Male fertility hormonal (blood) and sonographic investigations
• Kidney stenting and kidney stones LASER fragmentation as well as management of kidney tumours
• Circumcision, penile biopsy, penile curvature surgical correction (Peronei’s disease)
• Prostate perineal biopsy for cancer, resection of the prostate for symptoms due to enlargement (steaming of the prostate via the urethra with the REZUM technology, or resection of the prostate with the TUR method).
• Hydrocele repair (removal of fluid from the testicle), varicocele repair (excision of the large veins of the testicles), removal of testicular tumours, etc.
• Stenting of the ureter for obstruction due to various conditions (stones, tumours)
• Urethral dilatation, urethrotomy (incision of water pipe scarring) and graft surgery for urethral scarring with the use of mouth tissue (cheek free graft)
