Prof. Nikolaos Zamboglou was born in Limassol in 1949 where he finished school. After having received a DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst) scholarship, he studied Physics at the Technical University of Aachen and received his degree Dipl. Phys. (MSc) in 1974.
From 1974 – 1977 he conducted his graduate thesis and received the degree Dr.rer.nat. (PhD in Physics) at the Department of Nuclear Research KFA Julich at the University of Dusseldorf after being granted a KFA scholarship.
